There’s none other would guess how BBC, Mattel, Hasbro, MGM, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal (Comcast), Sony Croporation, The Walt Disney Company, WarnerMedia (AT&T) and ViacomCBS (National Amusements) had strong relationships, despite both are competitors, whenever there any Warner film and shows would air on some ViacomCBS-owned channels like CBS, MTV, and Nickelodeon. And even Warner, CBS and Disney would jointly operate The CW. Not to mention that some ViacomCBS programs and films would also air on Warner channels like Cartoon Network. So in case here, in addition of this alternate reality/theory, many you aware that Disney bought out 21st Century Fox in 2019, there might be a possibility to just imagine if Warner would also step to the direction of acquiring and merging Viacom from National Amusements. Though if they would do that, there’d be some changes with assets and other things that needs to be done for Warner. So let’s think about this; would that happen someday and what’re changes if possible?

Reasons

Here are the reasons why if Warner should own ViacomCBS from National Amusement in the future.

  1. Nickelodeon and MTV were both once owned by Warner back in the late 70s before being bought out by Viacom in around early 80s.
  2. Also before being bought out by Viacom, Warner acquired Turner’s fated Cable Music Channel and turned it into VH1 in 1985.
  3. Nickelodeon used to air Warner’s properties like Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and films like the 2002 Scooby Doo movie and recently they aired Space Jam
  4. Both CBS and Warner Bros. jointly own The CW channel
  5. Speaking of which, both CBS and The CW air shows based on DC franchises
  6. Both Warner and Nick teamed up to produce a crossover film based on Batman and TMNT, which that already happened.
  7. Not to mention that Teen Titans Go has an episode with a TMNT character as a guest star
  8. Paramount Parks (now Cedar Fair) used to have Hanna-Barbera properties at their parks until 2006
  9. During early 2000s, a Cartoon Network's Cartoon Cartoon Fridays commercial aired on Nickelodeon. Crazy.
  10. The 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory once released by Disney, Paramount, WB, Columbia, Universal and MGM.

Changes

  • The Walt Disney Company, ViacomCBS, WarnerMedia, Sony, NBCUniversal, Hasbro, MGM, Lionsgate and BBC would be merged into "WarnerCBSDisneyNBCSonyMGMHasbroBBCLionsgateMediaFactoryMusic".
  • Despite that, the "Viacom" name would still remain used as a brand name for the copyright holding for most of the ViacomCBS-owned brands, like Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, etc.
  • The CW broadcast channel would be fully owned by WarnerMedia
  • Nickelodeon, a rival of Cartoon Network, would still remain since it’s still iconic, and Nick and Cartoon Network would work together, as it would be part of Warner’s Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics division.
    • It would be a sub-division devoted to both Nick and CN brands: The Cartoon Network, Inc. would be formed into Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon Group.
      • Two channel would have two focuses: Cartoon Network would focus only animated content, like always, and Nickelodeon would focus on mostly live-action, with occasional animated programs, and so as their sisters.
      • Nickelodeon’s sister channel Nicktoons would be renamed to Nickcom, which would only houser to Nickelodeon’s sitcoms and its third-parties.
      • Both original shows in Nick and CN would occasionally air on each other.
      • And shows produced by Warner Bros. Animation and Hanna-Barbera would air on Nickelodeon while still air on Cartoon Network.
      • Even old MGM Cartoons like Tom and Jerry would also air on Nick.
  • Cartoon Network’s Boomerang would air both CN and Nick shows.
  • HBS logo

    Hanna Barbera Studios logo

Both Nickelodeon Animation Studios and Cartoon Network Studios would be renamed to Hanna-Barbera Studios, a revived version of old Hanna-Barbera, that would focus original shows only for Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Nickelodeon and occasionally other channels like TBS. And it’d get transferred to Warner Bros. Animation as its division, although the pre-2001 HB library still remain in the WB Animation library, and that goes to the Warner Animation Group library too.
  • Nickelodeon Movies titles would air on Warner-own channels like Cartoon Network and TCM.
  • There are some of assets by ViacomCBS would be absorbed into, such as:
    • Two streaming services Disney+, Paramount+ and HBO Max would be merged into The WB+, which an honor tribute to Warner’s former broadcast channel The WB.
  • However, there some of Mattel asserts that Disney, ViacomCBS, WarnerMedia, Sony, NBCUniversal, Hasbro, MGM, Lionsgate and BBC won’t own:
    • Showtime Networks which would be spun-off into its independent company renamed to Showtime Media, LLC.
    • TBD
